The restaurant itself is just beautiful, an AMAZING dining experience. Lexi, our server was soo great and friendly. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and made recommendations. Our kids had a blast. I had the Mahi-Mahi, I have always wanted to try it. It was so delicious...it far exceeded my expectations. We're on Vacation, so Thank you Moxies Victoria !
Came in for drinks and some food tonight and was pleasantly surprised with the service I received from the bartender. I believe his name was Andrew. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. The rest of the staff was also wonderful, the girl that welcomed me at the front (I didn’t catch her name but she looked like Megan Fox) was absolutely lovely as well. The food was delicious and the drinks were very tasty. Will definitely recommend to friends!
I’ve eaten supper at Moxie’s about a month ago and then twice this week and all 3 times were excellent. I sat in the lounge so I could watch hockey and the bartender and servers are very friendly. Service is excellent with lots of check-ins and the food is delivered in a timely manner. I had the beef vindaloo twice , and the prawn lacksa last night. Both dishes were hot and spicy and decent portions. I took the half of the beef vindaloo home for lunch. Appears that no reservation is needed in the evening mid week.
We had a really enjoyable lunch at Moxies. The service was excellent throughout our visit, and we loved sitting out on the patio, which provided a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The main dishes were very satisfying. We ordered the burger and the ribs, and both were flavorful without being overly salty or overwhelming. It was nice to enjoy dishes that were well-seasoned but still allowed the natural flavors to shine through. The highlight of the meal for me was the white chocolate brownie. It was rich, decadent, and the perfect way to end the meal. I was a little disappointed to find out that they no longer offer their churros ice cream, which used to be one of my favorites on their dessert menu. Hopefully, it will make a return in the future, as it was a standout treat. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend Moxies for anyone looking for good food, great service, and a lovely patio setting.
The ambiance and warm, inviting decor created an exceptional setting for a memorable evening. The service was exceptional, with our server, Sig, being attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. We extend our sincere gratitude to Sig and the kitchen crew for an unforgettable night. After a demanding week, it was a pleasure to savour a delectable meal and spend quality time with my loved ones. From the bar, Madri Exceptional lager was a standout, instantly transporting me back to my time in Barcelona, and Nancy's glass of Kim Crawford, from New Zealand, was delightful. We particularly enjoyed several traditional dishes, which were prepared to perfection. We commenced the evening with a platter of dry ribs seasoned with salt and pepper, garnished with a splash of fresh lemon. My grandson, Leo, and I engaged in a friendly competition for the final piece. I have a fondness for French Dip, as it reminds me of my late nights at Scorpion Restaurant, where I would enjoy a leftover prime rib on a French baguette dipped in au jus after a memorable evening of service. Moxies’s French Dip exceeded my expectations. If you, like me, dislike ketchup, I recommend ordering garlic mayo for your fries to ensure a delightful experience. Nancy’s cheeseburger was everything you could hope for in an exceptional burger bursting with flavour. We were impressed by Leo’s ability to complete a double protein serving of grilled chicken accompanied by a bed of white rice. This healthy option provided a satisfying choice for a young boy. We highly recommend Moxies Vic to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in downtown Victoria, British Columbia.
First night in town, and we wanted some good dinner. Decided on Moxies, and we were NOT disappointed! The amazing flavors in all the dishes were phenomenal. From start to finish from food to drinks everything was delicious! Pictured: Cashew Chili Chicken, Beef Vindaloo, and Steak Frites
Moxie’s on Yates offers a diverse menu with a variety of options that cater to different tastes - and we’re a group of genZs to baby boomers! The chimichurri steak salad stands out for its very flavourful combination of tender steak and zesty chimichurri sauce, making it a satisfying choice for our meat lover. The Thai salad provides a refreshing alternative with its blend of crisp vegetables and Thai-inspired dressing, offering a lighter, yet still flavourful and lightly-spiced option. The blackened chicken burger is another highlight, with juicy chicken breast seasoned with bold spices was delicious but a bit of a handful for a senior. The squash soup starter provided a warm and hearty beginning to the meal, with a side-sized Caesar salad of perfect proportion. We topped lunch off with a gin smash and a Moscow mule. Delicious! Overall, Moxie’s on Yates delivers a pleasant dining experience in a convenient location. This time there was a wedding reception happening on the patio but our service was not at all affected and the servers were all attentive. We shall return!
This cozy restaurant in Victoria offers great service, delicious food, and a variety of dishes. The portions are big, and it’s probably the only place in town where you can try mahi-mahi – a unique and tasty fish!
